At first didn't really want to make this list due to the daunting number of cars. The Porsche 911 alone has an average of 5 performance variants over it's six or so generations, that's roughly 30 911s alone. Likewise AMG has made a performance version of just about every Mercedes for the last couple decades, BMW's M and Audi's RS lines are relatively simple. For the sake of rounding out the countries lets look at how all these Teutonic cars compare to one another.
Some fun things to point out:
-A lot of high performance SUV have a similar number to older sports cars ex. Mercedes G65AMG vs BMW Z8
-The highest performance BMW (based on power/weight) is the V10 M6
-The old 993 GT2 is still one of the highest performing 911s.
As always this is NOT a complete list, lot of cool cars are missing, feel free to mention them. There's probably numerous errors, unlike the Italians the weight values should be pretty consistent. I'm not sure how, when, or if Germany changed their methods of rating peak output.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Here's some more nifty graphs. The first is the power/weight of the base and turbo 911 over time. The second features BMW's M models progress over time.

Added, along with the M135i, both are behind the 1M which I think is why I didn't initially include them.

Where did you get your weight figure for the E90 M3?
As sad as I am to admit it, I think it's heavier than you've got it pegged...

That's from Wikipedia. Edmunds and AOL have it at 3700 (4100 for the convert!) I had no idea M3 could weigh 2 tons.

~3700 is accurate. The E93 is a fat pig (as is the F83, which is even more of a shame considering all the lightweight tech that's gone into the new M3/4).

The F13 should be the M6 on this list. It is the coupe. The F06 is the sedan.
Also the V8 Competition has a higher power to weight ratio than the V10 M6. It has a power to weight ratio of .13529 hp/lb.

You need to be MOAR irresponsible and use debt to buy moar cars.
Every time I have enough money to pay off a car loan I instead use it as a down payment on another car loan. Fiscally irresponsible as fuck!

lol I hate being in debt. I hate it. Part of me wants to know that I could just pack my bags and go to Antarctica for the rest of my life if I wanted. Don't want any strings tying me down. When I buy a house it'll be straight cash, yo.
Manuél Ferrari

Bruh
Macanamera can't into Murica
Doing things straight cash is not how things work in our great country!
If you're not taking advantage of crazy cheap interest rates you're doing life wrong
I obviously over do it. But you're too conservative. You should never wait until you have enough cash to buy a house. That is fiscally irresponsible for these reasons:
1. You'll have to wait too long. So you end up missing out on all the appreciation you could have gained had you got a loan and bought the house sooner
2. You're missing out on federal income tax write offs. You can write off a SHIT TON of mortgage interest. So you're just paying the gov extra taxes if you buy a house cash.
Even if I had the money to buy a house cash I would never do it. I would invest the money into an interest bearing account and write off the mortgage interest.

Ya I know, buying a house cash was an exaggeration. I'm just debt-averse.
Clearly if I had the cash to buy a house, I would just buy a 918 Spyder and live in it.

LOL. That would be a great plan.
Embrace debt. It is your friend. It gets you to higher places in life sooner. I use debt in business and in my personal life. It makes things happen faster and makes me work harder. Cause mad loans to pay off, haha

C4 S4 (later became S6): 3814lbs in sedan, 3924 in avant trim, 227bhp inline 5cyl turbo
B5 S4: 3384 lbs sedan, 3704 avant, 261 bhp twin turbo V6
B5 RS4: avant only 3571 lbs, 375 bhp. The RS4 would slot just under the E39 M5 at 9.53 lbs/hp
